New Zealand stylist and blogger Michelle Halford of The Design Chaser recently documented her experience buying a new Carmo sofa from the team at BoConcept New Zealand. Michelle has a distinctly Scandi style in her home, well documented through her amazingly curated blog. She chose the gorgeous Carmo sofa for it’s distinctive minimalist square form, that suits her style, and is soft, comfortable and versatile enough for her young family.
Michelle definitely wanted the wool felt, it was durable enough to withstand kids, but soft and warm. She just needed to decide between the dark grey, and the light grey. After bringing the samples home to see in her space, she opted for the dark grey.
Michelle ended up choosing 2 large modular sofas that can be rearranged whenever she fancies. It can either be organised in a big corner module, or a chaise plus a 2 seater. The other furniture in the room consists of many smaller side tables, which can move with the sofa to change the room arrangement up.
Michelle’s favourite features of the sofa are the flat arms and back which she can rest a book, tablet or drink on. The room has been finished off with a beautiful monochrome gallery wall, black and white wire side table and plant holder, an adjustable black floor lamp, and some warmth through the moody textured cushions and sheepskin throw.
